world's fastest drummer contest .......
i went to the nashville summer namm convention ... and there's this world's fastest drummer contest, put on by the people who make the drumometer ....  i didn't know the contest was happening when i left california ...... by the time i got there, the preliminaries were over and i was just going to watch .. one of the officials (dan) sees me playing on a pad and asks me if i'm in the contest,  i tell him no .. anyway, he comes back and tells me he can get me in if i want ... i figure what the heck .... i'll be damned if i didn't place second ( i was in first place for a while) no records were broken .. but still ???

damn i look old ....

Pam Brandon Back in September I was asked to hire and lead an 8-piece ensemble of musicians for a top secret recording project, with two solid days of recording and 22 scored pieces. The ensemble included me (guitar), Alisa Rose (fiddle), James Chayka (banjo), Kevin Gerzevitz (accordion), David Phillips (pedal steel), Rick Alegria (drums), Will Scarlett (harmonica) and Christopher Bastian (bass). Now it's been released, I can say it was for the new XBOX game, Kinect Disneyland Adventures! Along with the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra, our music appears in Frontierland, Splash Mountain and others. You can hear us on this preview, check it out!
